How to ensure the safe transportation of AGV handling robot

One of the major advantages of AGV handling robot is that it can replace human beings to carry out all kinds of transportation work in hazardous or harmful environment, reducing the risk of work. However, the production environment of most manufacturing industries is dynamic and constantly changing, such as logistics vehicles, AGV in motion, pedestrians and so on. Therefore, when AGV handling robots work, we need to take some safety protection measures to ensure that AGV can travel safely in the use of the environment.

(1) According to the needs of safe walking, we need to use alarms, signs, signals, colors, safety bars and other warning objects on the operation path of AGV to ensure safety.

(2) In order to avoid extrusion or collision between AGV trolley and surrounding equipment, the small gap between obstacles and vehicles (including loads) should be kept at 0.5 meters.

(3) Different tones, songs or melodies should be used during the operation of AGV car, including recognition tone and alarm tone. The AGV emits different tones during normal operation to indicate several AGV conditions. When the alarm is active, the alarm sound will sound.

(4) When AGV is connected with platforms, automatic doors, elevators and other equipment, it is necessary to systematically consider all aspects of the linkage factors, so that its movement is coordinated with each other and linked to the operation of AGV.

(5) It is necessary to coordinate with the surrounding devices and the acceptance of goods and information of related equipment, so as to ensure safe start-up and continuous operation.

(6) Verify and clarify the operation environment of AGV in advance, analyze possible problems, and set AGV operation rules according to the actual situation.

(7) The path suitable for AGV safe travel should be designed, and the safe passage and safe travel area should be displayed within the scope. Where the travelling passage is common to the general passage, the safe space between pedestrians and AGV travelling passage can be guaranteed for pedestrians to avoid vehicles. Try to design an AGV dedicated channel.

(8) in the intersection, fork, sharp corners and other places where there are blind areas, pedestrians may unexpectedly collide with AGV car, therefore, to set up safety shelter in these places, and set up a eye-catching sign.

(9) For different AGV supporting systems, corresponding safety protection measures should be set for electromagnetic wave, light, ultrasonic wave emitted by power equipment, electrical wiring, lighting equipment, air machine and other interference elements around the moving area, as well as static electricity generated by the friction between wheels and road surface.
