Japan's Eamex develops a new type of cathode material battery to fully charge electric vehicles in 1 minute

It is understood that Eamex, a Japanese electronic component development company, has developed high-capacity capacitors.


If it is used in a pure electric vehicle (EV), the charging can be completed in as little as 1 minute, and the energy conversion efficiency for kinetic energy recovery is also extremely high. The capacitor developed this time replaces the positive electrode of the lithium ion battery with a special conductive polymer called "polyaniline", which can efficiently absorb lithium ions. The trial product can be charged in 1 to 3 minutes, and can be repeatedly charged and discharged more than 30,000 times.


Polyaniline is a polymer compound with special electrical and optical properties. After being doped, it can have electrical conductivity and electrochemical properties. Because polyaniline has good reversible electrochemical redox properties, it is suitable as an electrode material to manufacture secondary batteries that can be repeatedly charged and discharged, and an electrode material with better reversibility during the charging and discharging process of traditional lithium electrode materials.
