LG Chem recently said that its Qingzhou factory in North Chungcheong Province has begun to produce single crystal high nickel cathode materials.
Starting next month, the first batch of products for the next generation of positive electrode materials will be delivered to a global battery manufacturer.
By 2027, the company plans to expand the single crystal cathode production line to the Guiwei factory in North Gyeongsang Province, when the annual output of the new cathode will reach 50000 tons.
