In particular, on November 18, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the "Regulations for the Li-ion Battery Industry (2021 Version)" (Draft for Comment) and the "Administrative Measures for the Announcement of Li-ion Battery Industry Specifications (2021 Version)" (Draft for Comment) After that, the industry found that there seems to be a certain tendency to inhibit the lithium iron phosphate battery that is making great strides:


The new specification requires that the energy density of the energy type power battery project should be ≥180Wh/kg, and the energy density of the battery pack should be ≥120Wh/kg. Although the energy density of the lithium iron phosphate battery pack exceeds 120, it is quite a lot, but the number of single cells is a bit dangerous, because the energy density of the mainstream lithium iron phosphate battery is still hovering around 160Wh/kg. According to this calculation, many The product cannot meet the new regulations.


But are the new regulations really inhibiting lithium iron phosphate batteries?
