Construction of an automated parking lot on the Artificial island of the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has begun. The project was jointly won by CIMC Smart Parking, a subsidiary of CIMC's CimC Iot, Hong Kong Baohua Construction Company Limited and Hong Kong Jardine Machinery Company Limited. Cimc won the bid for the first phase of Park&Fly Automated parking lot, which will provide 1,550 parking Spaces.
It is reported that the project is mainly for self-driving passengers from Guangdong and Macao who are going to Hong Kong International Airport via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to transfer overseas or visit Hong Kong. Mainland land-to-air passengers can drive or take a car through the HZMB, park in the automated parking lot, and then go to the gate through the transit terminal building. Visitors to Hong Kong can drive or take a bus through the HZMB to the automated parking lot, and then go to Space City or other parts of Hong Kong through the "Space Corridor". This will help Hong Kong integrate into the Greater Bay Area's "one-hour life circle".
The first phase of the Park&Fly automated parking lot covers an area of 28,600 square meters, with a total construction area of 52,000 square meters. The parking lot will be completed in 2023. In order to maximize the land benefit of the artificial island of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the engineers of CIMC combined with the future-oriented demand of the artificial island and based on the capabilities and advantages of CIMC in high-end equipment manufacturing, automation and Internet of Things technology, through "seeking space up" and "seeking efficiency from science and technology", Designed AGV robot parking solutions for automated parking lots on the island.

The parking lot will operate unmanned, relying entirely on AGV robots (also known as mobile robots or unmanned carriers) to park itself. Under the command of the Internet of Things brain, the AGV robot will "carry" the passenger's car in the parking lot orderly shuttle, encounter a car, can be flexible automatic avoidance. The AGV robot is also "smart", can automatically calculate the optimal path "shortcut" during peak hours, improve operational efficiency, and can be deployed across the region support, easy to cope with peak parking, peak can achieve 120 cars per hour access. If the power is too low, the robot will automatically charge, but also self-detection, problems to go to the maintenance room standby, and real-time notification of operation and maintenance personnel.
