The UK's busiest motorway - the London Outer Ring Motorway M25 - has officially opened a dedicated electric vehicle charging centre comprising 12 charging points. Fast chargers can provide up to 350 kilowatts of electricity, powered by 100% renewable electricity. An electric car can travel 188 kilometers on a charge in less than 15 minutes
In the past five weeks, Gridserve and motorway service company Moto have partnered to build four new fast-charging centres across the UK. The move is part of Gridserve's multi-million pound investment plan to further expand its network of electric on-road electric vehicles across the country.
Moto is currently working to meet the government's target of installing six fast-charging stations in every motorway service area by 2023.
