In particular, China, which ranks first in the world in electric vehicle sales and battery production, has introduced a series of policies to vigorously promote the development of related industries. For example, establish a battery history information database, and implement a producer responsibility system in which producers are responsible for recycling. At present, China has designated 17 regions including Beijing, Shanghai and other cities as battery recycling pilots. At the same time, detailed national standards are formulated for battery specifications, packaging, transportation, recycling, disassembly, etc., and the development of related technologies is encouraged.
The report said that compared with the above-mentioned major countries, South Korea's battery recycling industry is relatively backward. It is recommended that the Korean government and the industry strengthen cooperation, and vigorously develop the battery recycling and reuse industry by formulating relevant standards, establishing battery records, and improving relevant infrastructure.
