On April 21, Switch Maritime said it will launch the world's first commercial ferry powered entirely by hydrogen fuel cells.
The Switch Maritime says the Sea Change commercial hydrogen fuel cell ferry will soon be operational in the San Francisco Bay Area. The 21-meter-long aluminum catamaran passenger ferry, powered by two propellers with three hydrogen fuel cells, can carry 75 passengers and will serve multiple stops on the San Francisco waterfront.
