A Renewable Energy Developer in Spain recently said that the 100MW/200MWH battery energy storage system will be deployed.

A renewable energy developer headquartered in Madrid, Spain recently said that it plans to deploy a solar+energy storage project, which will deploy a 100MW/200MWH battery energy storage system.

According to an announcement issued by the Spanish government, the company has submitted the environmental impact research, construction and grid application of the project to the relevant departments.

The plans to deploy the solar power field will consist of 434,928 double -sided photovoltaic components and use 1,000 250kW string inverters to connect to the substation, with a installed capacity of 250MW.

The battery energy storage project will consist of 80 container -type battery energy storage systems and 20 power converters, with a scale of 100MW/200MWh and a duration of 2 hours.

This solar+energy storage project will be connected to the newly -built substation through a 33KV interconnection line, and the substation will be managed by the General's General.

The announcement states that the solar+energy storage project will also be combined with the nearby GECAMA Eölico Park solar power field. This solar power field is developed by developer Israel Enlight Renewable Energy.

In 2019, Spain sets the goal of deploying a total of 20GW energy storage systems by 2030 by 2030, and by 2050 to deploy a total of 30GW energy storage systems.
