At present, lithium batteries have been widely used in digital fields such as smart phones and tablet computers. As the core component of electric vehicles, lithium batteries for vehicles have also been developed to a certain extent in recent years. Among them, BYD R & D and production of lithium iron phosphate batteries have been successfully applied to a number of electric vehicles, and to achieve a long and smooth operation. But in general, the car lithium battery is still too expensive, and the range is not enough bottleneck, which also led to the delay in the promotion and popularity of electric vehicles.



It is understood that the cost of power lithium battery has accounted for one-third of the cost of the whole electric vehicle. Due to the high price of lithium batteries, the cost of the same type of electric car is half as expensive as a fuel car, which also makes people discouraged from electric cars. The lack of range is also an important obstacle to the development of electric vehicles. At present, the range of electric vehicles is generally about 150 kilometers, which obviously can not meet the needs of people in the long-distance highway driving.



In order to break through the bottleneck of electric car development, some car companies are further reducing the cost of batteries through the scale production of batteries. There are predictions that by 2020, the cost of lithium batteries for electric vehicles will be expected to drop to $300 kWh. In terms of battery life, it is necessary to look to the development of new technologies and new materials. Industry insiders point out that domestic enterprises can only continuously strengthen technological innovation and strive to improve the quality and safety performance of domestic lithium battery products, so that they can be widely used in the field of new energy vehicles.
