It has been calculated that Europe will need 400 GW of new solar and wind installations per year between 2025-2035 to help curb global temperature rise to below 1.5 degrees Celsius
The grid needs to be strengthened to accommodate the required intermittent renewable electricity; Power-to-X technology, including green hydrogen production, will also be needed for hard-to-mitigate industrial, aviation, shipping and Freight and other sectors provide power; clean hydrogen is also needed to balance the power supply from solar and wind power plants.
