Spray painting robots are industrial robots that can automatically paint or spray other coatings and were invented in 1969 by Trallfa (later incorporated into ABB). The spray painting robot mainly consists of the robot body, computer and the corresponding control system, and the hydraulically driven spray painting robot also includes hydraulic oil source, such as oil pump, oil tank and motor.
Most use 5 or 6 degrees of freedom articulated structure, the arm has a large space for movement and can do complex trajectory movement, and its wrist generally has 2 to 3 degrees of freedom, which can be flexible movement. The more advanced painting robots use flexible wrists, which can be bent in all directions and rotated, and their movements are similar to the human wrist, which can easily reach inside the workpiece through smaller holes and spray its inner surface.
The paint robot is generally driven by hydraulic pressure, which has the characteristics of fast action and good explosion-proof performance, and can be taught by hand-holding or point indication. Paint spraying robots are widely used in automobile, instrumentation, electrical appliances, enamel and other process production departments.
The main advantages of the painting robot.
1、Large flexibility and working range greatly.
2、Improve spraying quality and material usage rate.
3、Easy to operate and maintain, can be programmed off-line, greatly shorten the site debugging time.
4, high utilization rate of equipment, the utilization rate of spraying robots can reach 90%-95%.
Types of spraying robot features
1、Aerated spraying robot
Air spraying robot is also called low-pressure air spraying, the sprayer relies on low-pressure air to make the paint form atomized airflow on the surface of the object (wall or wood surface) after spraying out of the muzzle, air spraying has no brush marks compared with hand brushing, and the plane is relatively uniform, and the unit working time is short, which can effectively shorten the working period. However, air spraying has a splash phenomenon, there is a waste of paint, and when viewed at close range, very fine granularity is visible. General air spraying using the decoration industry common air compressor, relatively speaking, a machine with multiple uses, low investment costs, the market also has a pumping air spraying machine, self-falling air spraying machine and other special machinery.
2、Airless spraying robot
Airless spraying robots can be used for the construction of high viscosity paints with clear edges, and can even be used for some spraying projects with boundary requirements. Depending on the type of machinery, it can be divided into pneumatic airless sprayers, electric airless sprayers, internal combustion airless sprayers, automatic sprayers and many others. It is also important to note that if the metal surface is to be sprayed, it is best to use metallic paint (magnetic paint type).
