WH and AH unit conversion method. The capacity units of lithium batteries are milliamp hours, amp hours, and watt hours. In layman's terms, the physical meaning of battery capacity refers to how much charge the battery can hold or release. I believe that many small partners are not very clear about how to convert WH and AH. The editor of Cunneng Electric will explain the method to you here.
WH refers to watt-hour, which belongs to the unit of electrical energy and is a unit of energy (work). It represents the energy consumed by an electrical appliance with a power of one watt after using it for one hour. .
AH is the capacity unit of electrical equipment, "Amp hours (AH)" is an indicator reflecting the capacity of lithium batteries, and its meaning is the time to discharge according to the specified current.
A battery with the same voltage has a larger capacity in amp-hours; a battery with the same amp-hour has a larger capacity with a higher voltage. Usually, the capacity of the battery is expressed in terms of voltage and amp-hour, such as 12V/17AH, 12V/24AH, 12V/ 38AH, 12V/65AH, 12V/100AH.
The voltage (volts) of the battery is multiplied by the number of AH of the battery, and the result is obtained (unit: WH). Divide this result (WH value) by 1000 to get the KWH value.
The capacity of manly battery (Lifepo4 Battery) can be expressed in two ways: electric capacity (WH) and amp-hour capacity (Ah); among them: 1WH= lithium battery voltage V * amp-hour capacity (Ah) = lithium battery voltage V * mAh Capacity (mAh)/1000; because 1mAh=0.001*.
WH is a unit of energy and mAh is a unit of charge. These two dimensions are not the same, there is no ratio relationship. mAh is usually used as an indicator of battery charging and discharging, and it is an indicator proportional to the charging (discharging) current and time of the battery.
When a customer inquired about our energy storage lithium battery UPS power supply, they asked about the output power ≥ 1500W; battery type manly battery (Lifepo4 Battery); battery capacity ≥ 1920WH lithium battery UPS power supply. Among them, the battery requirement is 1920WH, but the capacity of the battery marked by our UPS power supply is 48V voltage, and the AH capacity can be selected, so the customer is confused.
In fact, it is very simple, WH is the unit of electricity (rated energy), rated energy (WH) = capacity (AH) multiplied by voltage (V). According to the customer's requirements, 1920WH is our standard manly battery (Lifepo4 Battery) 40AH capacity under the voltage of 48V. According to customer requirements, choose a UPS power host with a power greater than or equal to 2KVA1600W, and then match a manly battery (Lifepo4 Battery) module with a capacity greater than or equal to 48V40AH to meet the requirements.
