Consumer lithium-ion batteries do not require long-term reliability and are generally not used in groups alone, so they do not have great requirements for consistency. However, as the space of consumer mobile phones and Pads is limited and very precious, consumer lithium-ion batteries have strict requirements on size, capacity and energy density.
About safety, power lithium batteries have more external protection circuit, heat dissipation layout and so on, of course, in the face of more harsh conditions (higher external voltage, the bigger current, more complex external environment), consumer battery less protection, want to be in a higher energy density by battery materials and design on the basis of resistance to live of the security risks.
High-end consumer batteries use the most advanced technology and materials, while power lithium batteries require more advanced process control, consistency control and quality management.

3. Different internal resistance
The internal resistance of the power type lithium ion battery is smaller than that of the capacity type lithium ion battery. Take 18650 as an example, the good manufacturers of 3 rate discharge are generally with PDC, and the internal resistance is about 40; 5 rate discharge is generally not with PDC internal resistance of about 20.
