What does a lithium battery consist of?

The size and scale of the materials used in different types of lithium batteries vary. The following is the composition of Lixing lithium-manganese primary column battery CR123A.

Positive electrode cover

The raised part at the upper end of the battery, internally connected to the positive pole, identifies the positive pole of the battery.

Battery Case

The effect is to ensure that the active material inside the battery is not in direct contact with the outside world, and it is connected to the negative electrode, which plays the effect of negative current collection.

Battery labeling

A package printed plastic sleeve used to identify the type and model of the battery and other information.

Diaphragm

A material that separates the positive and negative active materials and holds the electrolyte.

Electrolyte

An organic electrolyte of lithium perchlorate used to transfer ions in lithium-manganese primary batteries.

Anode

In lithium-manganese primary batteries, the cathode material is manganese dioxide.

Negative electrode

In a lithium-manganese primary battery, the negative electrode is lithium metal.
