By 2027, Africa+Middle East will add 17GW wind power installation machines

The GWEC Global Wind Energy Commission pointed out in its 2023 Global Wind Energy Industry Report that the GW -level capacity projects under construction in North Africa, Saudi Arabia and South Africa will realize the two years of 2026 and 2027. New 5 GW per year will be added each year. Wind power installed machine volume, 2027 new installed capacity will reach 17 GW in 2023.

 

In these 17 GW, the report shows that 5.3 GW is expected to be from South Africa, Egypt 3.6 GW, Morocco 2.2 GW, and 2.4 GW in the future from Saudi Arabia.

 

Egypt has become a new wind power installation market that needs to be concerned. The country announced the Gyva -scale wind power installation project planning last year. Among them, one of the biggest highlights is an initiative about the Green Corridor. This is a separate power grid plan. By 2035, the share of domestic renewable energy has increased to 42% in the overall power installation -including two of them, including two of them 10 GW capacity on the land wind farm. From 2027, the country's hopes to add 1GW capacity of the 1GW capacity every year will reach the highest point of 8GW by 2030.
