  Working principle

  Introduction of lead-acid battery

  Lead-acid battery is a kind of battery whose electrode is mainly made of lead and its oxide, and whose electrolyte is sulfuric acid solution. In the discharged state, the main component of the positive electrode is lead dioxide and the negative electrode is lead; in the charged state, the main component of both positive and negative electrodes is lead sulfate.

 

  The nominal voltage of a single-cell lead-acid battery is 2.0V, which can be discharged to 1.5V and charged to 2.4V; in application, six single-cell lead-acid batteries are often connected in series to form a nominal 12V lead-acid battery, as well as 24V, 36V, 48V, etc.

  After the lead-acid battery is charged, the positive plate is lead dioxide (PbO2). Under the action of water molecules in sulfuric acid solution, a small amount of lead dioxide is born with water as dissociable unstable substance - lead hydroxide (Pb(OH)4), hydroxide ions in solution, lead ions (Pb) stay on the positive plate, so there is a lack of electrons on the positive plate.

 

  After charging the lead-acid battery, the negative plate is lead (Pb), which reacts with sulfuric acid (H2SO4) in the electrolyte and becomes lead ion (Pb2), and the lead ion is transferred to the electrolyte, leaving two more electrons (2e) on the negative plate.

 

  The difference of charging method

  Some battery chargers themselves are protected, when the detection of lithium iron phosphate battery voltage reached 4.2 volts, it stops charging.   General lead-acid battery charging charger, are using a three-stage charging mode, in the case of 100% used up electricity, charging time will be in the 8-10 hours, do not exceed 12 hours, so that the battery life will have an impact, it is best not to use every time you use up the electricity, it is recommended that the power in about 70% to charge the lead-acid battery, charging time is generally in about 6-8 hours.
